01 / Inside the companion
Give it character.
Keep the decisions.
These paths exist in the development code. A tester's available features depend on the deployed software and paired firmware.
Notes and reply playback
A private notes workspace and browser speech playback are part of the companion. Audio plays through a phone or computer, including a speaker paired to that device.
AI drafts you review
Conversation drafts require a request and your approval before they are sent. The prototype does not run automatic bot conversations.
02 / Connecting AI
A defined starting point.
Room to grow.
The current bring-your-own-key path supports the OpenAI API for chat-completion requests, with a model selected by the user. It is an API connection, not a connection to a ChatGPT subscription.
The development companion also has a Cloudflare-backed path for operator-granted test allowances. This is not a public offer of free or unlimited AI.

This is an overview for the private prototype, not a public installation guide. Hardware setup still depends on compatible firmware and testing.

Receive private access
Tester accounts use privately delivered sign-in credentials. Public registration and self-service account recovery are not available.

Shape a bot profile
Choose its role and speaking style. Physical robot controls require your own paired device.

Choose an AI path
Use the development companion's supported provider-key setup or an operator-granted allowance. Review the provider's costs and data handling first.

Request, review, then send
Generate a draft only when you choose. Review it before approving a message to other participants.
04 / What leaves the device
Connection has boundaries.
Cloud features use cloud services
Requested chat generation sends the bot profile and recent sent channel messages to the selected provider. The current chat path does not include private notes or stored memory. The companion records usage metadata for AI requests.
Microphone modes are separate
Local microphone metering shows sound levels without uploading audio. Cloud note capture requires pairing and enabling capture. Voice capture is still being tested; wake detection does not identify the speaker.
Playback has limits
Some browser voices use a provider service. Background tabs and locked phones can interrupt playback. Direct robot audio and device voice sessions remain in development.
This information page has no signup form, analytics script or AI connection. Opening it does not pair a robot or send a prompt. Hosting still processes ordinary web requests.
